Dakar 2010 Intro [FRI 01-JAN-2010]

Welcome to Dakar 2010. This will be the 31st running of the world famous rally (2008 Dakar was cancelled). As with last year, in 2010, the Dakar remains in South America. Traversing the countries of Argentina and Chile, this year's rally route has been adjusted to limit dusty conditions mostly south of the continent. This video is the intro to the formal 2010 Dakar Rally. Held at Buenos Aires, no other place is more fitting to launch this event in Argentina. After the ceremonial start, the contestants head to Colon, traveling a total of 317km for the bivouac there. No special stage on 1st of January, just a long 317km of laiason. The real race start 02-JAN. And as usual, bikers go first.
