After Sebastien Loeb's win in Rally Japan, he has surpassed Carlos Sainz's record of 26 WRC wins. That puts him in first place with 27 WRC wins to his credit, at only 32 years of age. In 2005, he also scored a record by winning 10 FIA World Rally Championship events and on that year he managed to win 6 rallies in a row, yet another record.
His co-driver Daniel Elena is equally pleased as he continue to earn co-driver championship points. Elena broke Luis Moya's record by winning his 25th win in Italy this year. His win in Japan makes it the 27th for the record. Together with Loeb, the duo can very well be on a long streak of winning record.
Congratulations Sebastien and Daniel!

Daniel Elena is the most successful WRC co-driver of all time
Daniel Elena and Sebastien Loeb are used to winning rallies but this one is even more significant. It gives co-driver Daniel Elena a record 25 wins in the FIA World Rally Championship, making him the most successful co-driver of all time.
Winning this rally allows Elena to overtake Luis Moya in the co-driver ratings. "I am very happy," said Elena. "I am sorry for Luis. I dedicate this win to my daughter, my family. It's very good day. I hope for many more victories to come."
If Loeb takes two more rally wins then he will join Elena's high and become the driver with the most WRC victories.

Triple celebration for Citroen
It might be the fourth win this season for Sebastien Loeb but for Daniel Elena and the Kronos Total Citroen World Rally Team it's even more special.
In taking this victory, Elena equals the now retired Luis Moya as the co-driver with the most FIA World Rally Championship victories. "I am very happy to equal the record," said a jubilant Elena at the end of the rally.
The win is also significant for the Citroen manufacturer as it marks their 30th victory, albeit under different team names.
