The Pirelli P-Zero
Here's the picture of the Pirelli P-Zero. This tire won two podium positions in Rally Argentina 2006. Although BFGoodrich won the rally by means of Loeb in 1st place, Pirelli has shown that it can be a consistent performer by winning the other two podium positions. Subaru's Petter Solberg was delighted to have had a podium after a long while, and Pirelli was instrumental to his victory. And of course, Gigi Galli, the "Pirelli Man", has won his first ever podium position using Pirelli tires. Pirelli has made dreams come true for some drivers in the last Rally Argentina, and perhaps in more rallies in the future. While winning in a competitive rally like the WRC is a multifactorial thing, tires are a critical factor to consider. A wrong tire choice can make or break a world rally driver's chance of winning no matter how good he drives or how reliable and powerful his car is.
