New Outlander for Germany in February 2007

The new Mitsubishi Outlander, developed under the Global Platform with Daimler Chrysler, has been in the Market since 2005 in Japan, and has been recently introduced in the US, Asia Pacific, and Southeast Asia, will soon be available in the UK, the rest of Europe and Russia.

In Germany, the new Outlander will be powered by a 2.0 Liter Direct Injected Diesel engine. The rear emblems of the vehicle will vary from those of UK and will reflect the DiD emblem. It is planned to go on sale in February 2007.

Mitsubishi has reached maximum prodcution at their Mizushima plant, where the Outlanders for Japan domestic market and those for export to the US are being made. Recently Mitsubishi announced that it will further increase production of the new Outlander by expanding its assembly line to the Okazaki plant, where most of the vehicles made will be exported to the UK, the rest of Europe, and Russia.
