Mitsubishi launches the first ever electric vehicle drive across Canada

Mississauga, Ontario (Wednesday, July 21 2010) Today, Koji Soga, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada announced that on August 17th, Mitsubishi’s innovative four passenger electric, zero tailpipe emission car, the i-MiEV (Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle), based on the Japanese i-Car platform, will leave Signal Hill, in St John’s Newfoundland on a 28 day coast to coast tour. After covering approximately 7,500 kilometres, the Clean Across Canada tour will arrive in Vancouver British Columbia on September 13, 2010 at the annual EV 2010 Conference and Trade Show.

The i-MiEV have arrived in the US, to be loaned to the media
Mitsubishi Motors North America announces the arrival of i-MiEV to its national press fleet. Japanese Domestic market versions of this battery electric vehicle will be available for loan from seven STI Fleet Services locations (Detroit, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle).
This loan program seeks to acquaint a select number of media with the electric car experience by allowing them to live with the vehicle for several days. Acceleration, charging, range management, and the variable effect of vehicle climate controls on the car’s operation will all be tested and experienced during this loan.
The Japanese Domestic Market i-MiEV went on sale in Japan in the summer of 2009. The vehicle goes on sale in Europe later this year and then a North American version arrives to market in fall of 2011.

(July 7, 2010) – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada has confirmed today that the company will expand its line-up with the Mitsubishi RVR – an all-new, compact Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) that features the latest in cutting-edge design, state-of-the-art technology and environmental responsibility.
Mitsubishi designed the RVR from the bottom up with a striking design and rigid, lightweight body. The smart-sized, cross-over combines excellent fuel-efficiency with premium features and greater functionality.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) is pleased to announce its sponsorship to the upcoming Filipino boxer Bernabe "Abe" Concepcion. This young 22 year old boxer has a record of 32 fights with 28 wins of which 15 were by Knock-out, 3 loses and 1 draw. With this young boxer's skills and determination MMPC sees potential in him to be the next boxing superstar following the footsteps of Manny Pacquiao. MMPC will be providing funds for Abe's training and for his fight expenses. A contract signing was recently held at the MMPC office located in Cainta, Rizal.
